Job summary

Hilton is seeking an Assistant Manager - Engineering in Bengaluru to lead our hotel engineering team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of plant/equipment and supervising repairs, maintenance and new installations. You will drive energy efficiency, supervise contractors, and maintain compliance with safety standards to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar role or 5+ years in supervision in a 4/5-star hotel, with strong knowledge of hotel

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hotel electrical, mechanical, and engineering systems
• Skilled in equipment maintenance, safety standards, and energy management
• Proven leadership, team supervision, and contractor coordination experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain service standards and align the team with operational goals.
• Assign duties and ensure smooth handovers under the Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Inspect machine rooms and equipment and report issues promptly.
• Recommend procedures to improve energy efficiency.
• Handle attendance, performance records, and maintenance documentation.
• Manage inventory, tool usage, and material storage.
• Schedule and oversee contractor activities per maintenance plans.
• Enforce safe equipment operation across departments.
• Train team members and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and energy plans when required

• Service Standards: Maintain high service quality and align team with operational goals

• Energy Advisory: Recommend procedures to improve energy efficiency
• Administration: Handle attendance, performance records, and maintenance documentation
