Job Purpose: Manage Indirect and Direct Tax Matters for Organization and support accounting processes (50% GST, 30% Corporate tax, 20% Accounting).

Taxation

Indirect Tax

• Automate the GST compliance process for India and lead the creation of necessary reports
• Provide the required inputs to the external consultants for preparation of returns
• Review and file the monthly GST returns as prepared

Direct Tax

Strengthen the TDS/TCS process in India:

• Identify the right TDS/TCS setup for vendors and customers
• Monthly review of invoices recorded and make corrections if any required
• Liaising with external tax consultants for payment of monthly TDS/TCS
• Preparation and submission of quarterly TDS/TCS returns
• Co-ordinate with Tax Auditors for Corporate Income tax
• Take up any additional compliances required in direct and indirect taxation

Accounting

• Ensure that the recorded data by the accounting shared service team is accurate, on time, and comply with the accounting standards
• Automate wherever possible, processes, to ensure minimal intervention of the local team
• Co-ordinate with the external auditors for the annual audit of the company and provide all required information.

Candidate profile requirements

• Current Experience in GST function (return filing, review, compliance etc.)
• Experience of working in manufacturing set-up preferred.
• Articleship from Big4 companies would be a plus.
