Assistant Manager Corporate Sustainability

An esteemed client of The Connectors, a multinational corporation in automotive manufacturing, located in Chakan, Maharashtra, India, is looking for an ASSISTANT MANAGER - CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY to be based in their corporate office at Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. The role reports to the ESH Head and plays a strategic role in fostering a performance-driven organization and culture building.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis of environmental impacts, carbon footprints, and energy consumption.
  3. Manage and oversee ESG reporting processes (BRSR, GRI, TCFD, and TNFD), ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  4. Manage the assurance process with external auditors for Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reports (BRSR) and GRI compliance, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory adherence, and transparent reporting.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business operations.
  6. Evaluate and recommend technologies and practices to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  7. Prepare Management Information Sheets, monitor, and report on progress towards sustainability goals and targets.
  8. Data collection with evidence for sustainability reporting and assurance readiness.
  9. Periodically review sustainability projects and ensure timely completion of projects.
  10. Provide data to customers to ensure compliance with BRSR core in their value chain.
  11. Guide the supply chain team to drive ESG initiatives in the upstream value chain.
  12. Incentivization of Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions as per ISO 14064.
Skills Required
  1. In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards such as BRSR, GRI, TCFD, and TNFD.
  2. Experience with GHG emission calculations.
  3. Experience with biodiversity assessment.
  4. Experience with climate risk and modeling tools.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  6. Excellent project management abilities, including prioritization, planning, and execution.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
Education Qualification

Graduation in Environment/Sustainability or Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainability with 5 to 10 years of experience. Automotive industry exposure is preferred.

Compensation

Compensation range: up to 12.00 lacs. Transportation, canteen facility, and creche facility are also available.
