Job summary

Tata Consumer Products in Bangalore is hiring an Accountant / Management Accountant with 3–4 years of experience. The role focuses on preparing P&L statements by SKU and brand, month-end close activities, and intercompany reconciliations using SAP and BPC.

You will maintain a provisions tracker, post monthly journals, and prepare BPC actuals and other critical reports under tight deadlines. The position requires CA Inter/ICWA/MBA Finance or equivalent, with work-from-office arrangement.

Qualifications

• CA Inter, ICWA, M.Com or MBA Finance is required.
• 3–4 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP and BPC is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SKU-wise and Brand-wise P&L statements and assist month-end close.
• Prepare intercompany sales/purchaser reconciliations including debtors/creditors.
• Maintain provisions tracker and post monthly journals (accruals, prepayments, reclassifications).
• Prepare and submit BPC actuals and various P&L reports within deadlines.
• Assist compliance activities and provide ad-hoc analyses as needed.
• Analyze accounting records and provide reconciliations and commentary.

Job description

Key Deliverables

• Prepare SKU-wise and Brand-wise Profit & Loss (P&L) statements on a timely basis.
• Assist with month-end close processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly intercompany sales and purchase reconciliations, including reconciliation of debtors and creditors.
• Develop and maintain an accurate monthly provisions tracker.
• Prepare GR/IR reports to track vendor-wise Purchase Order (PO) Goods Receipts (GRs) and release payments based on confirmations received.
• Prepare and post monthly scheduled journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassification journals.
• Prepare and submit BPC actuals, brand-wise P&L reports, and other financial data within tight deadlines.
• Assist with compliance activities, including statutory compliance and audit compliance.
• Analyze accounting records and provide ad-hoc reconciliations, analyses, and commentary as needed.

Customer Service

• Responsible for the analysis of data across categories and reporting.

Internal Processes

• Support for digital initiatives and provide input for improvements in processes and procedures.

Innovation And Learning

• Evaluating Innovation projects with a focus on Growth, dedicated overheads, and development spends.

Critical Success Factors

• Qualification: CA Inter / ICWA / M.Com / MBA Finance.
