Job summary

SKF India in Bengaluru invites applications for a Finance Controlling specialist to lead Controlling and Reporting across manufacturing and India & Group requirements.

You will drive costing, budgeting, standard cost updates in PC Tool, and provide insights using SAP-ERP (FICO) and Power BI, with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• CA / CA- Inter / ICWA / CMA with 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Hands-on experience in Financial Planning and Global reporting.
• Strong working experience on MS Office and good understanding of SAP ERP - FICO; Sound knowledge in Power BI.

Responsibilities

• An individual contributor role to manage day-to-day Controlling and Reporting Responsibilities of all Manufacturing activities in line with India and Corporate (SKF Group) requirements.
• Partner with Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistic and Operations teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Operating profit analysis for Manufacturing unit including material cost variance analysis and cost analyses.
• Assess proposed capital investments by analyzing financial viability, ROI, payback period, and alignment with Business plan. Track expenditure against approved IRE.
• Monitor inventory to identify opportunities for optimization and analyse slow-moving inventories and write-offs.
• Provide clear insights into cost drivers and ensure overall cost minimization.
• Carry out cost-level analysis for the manufacturing unit and report monthly/quarterly/annual cost developments.
• Actual vs Forecast Analysis and ensure compliance with SKF financial policies and controls.

Reports To: Deputy General Manager- Controlling Lubrication India

Purpose of the role

A Finance Controlling role responsible for leading Controlling and Reporting activities to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making for LLS India. This position serves as a bridge between finance and operations, ensuring that cost optimization initiatives are aligned with business objectives and drive operational efficiency.

Profile of the job holder/key requirements

• CA / CA- Inter / ICWA / CMA with 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Hands-on experience in Financial Planning and Global reporting
• Strong working experience on MS Office and good understanding of SAP ERP - FICO,
  Sound knowledge in Power BI.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders across Cross Functional Teams
• Ability to independently handle / manage day-to-day tasks

Key Responsibilities

An individual contributor role to manage day-to-day Controlling and Reporting Responsibilities of all Manufacturing activities in line with India and Corporate (SKF Group) requirements.

Controlling Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistic and Operations teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Operating profit analysis for Manufacturing unit which includes material cost variance analysis, plus Fixed and variable cost analysis.
• Primarily responsible for updating standard costs annually in the PC Tool; analyzing the deviations of standard costs, ensure proper evaluation, and timely reporting.
• Assess proposed capital investments by analyzing financial viability, ROI, payback period, and alignment with Business plan . Track expenditure against approved IRE.
• Monitor inventory to identify opportunities for optimization. Analyse slow-moving and obsolete inventories, discards / write-offs; monitor and analyse inventory count results.
• Provide clear insights into various cost drivers and continuously monitor to ensure overall cost is minimized.
• Strong expertise in SAP-ERP (FICO) Product Costing functionalities, including Cost Component Structure, Routing, Costing Variant configuration, Parallel Valuation, and Settlement Structure.
• Carry out cost-level analysis for the manufacturing unit to deliver a comprehensive overview of operations, including tracking actual cost developments at the operational level on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Actual vs Forecast Analysis showing comparison on month/quarter vs Forecast
• Ensure compliance with SKF financial policies, internal controls and audit plan for the year
• Controlling Governance - Respond to queries from Group and other stakeholders and provide timely and accurate information
• Cost Project Validation & Controls - Streamline activities and work on improvement projects in line with required KPIs

Accounting And Reporting Responsibilities

• Costing Power BI Ownership - Support the LLS. Business teams including Factory, in all necessary activities and provide costing related data as required from time to time.
• Financial Reporting - Lead the month-end activities related to financial reviews, accruals and data submission to Finance Accounting teams.
• Data Analysis and Expense Validation - Responsible for driving data validation, timely processing of all Expenses /Purchase requisitions
• Cost Bucketing and Apportionment - Timely and accurate allocation of all costs; Share information to all stakeholders within Business units and factories
• Periodic Reporting - Update specified modules in SKF systems, both monthly and periodic modules as per the India and Group timelines
