Job summary

Adani Power Limited in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, seeks a seasoned Civil Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and commissioning of large-scale civil works in the power/energy sector. You will oversee site management, coordination with contractors, and cost control while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of civil PM experience, a civil engineering degree, and strong leadership with stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the Power/Energy industry.
• Experience in contract management, procurement procedures, and project cost control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering activities from project initiation to commissioning while meeting timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Supervise and coordinate site activities with safety, environmental standards, and Adani safety culture.
• Review and approve civil drawings, designs, and specifications for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections for durability.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and monitor expenditures to optimize resources.
• Identify risks related to civil construction and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain project documentation including progress reports and compliance records.
• Liaise between project teams, clients, regulatory authorities, and internal departments.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and enhancing construction methodologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and site staff to foster learning and accountability.

Project Planning & Execution: Lead the civil engineering activities from project initiation to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.

• Site Management: Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring safety protocols, construction methods, and environmental standards are strictly followed in alignment with Adani’s safety-first culture.
• Technical Supervision: Review and approve civil engineering drawings, designs, and specifications, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure material procurement, resource allocation, and work execution are aligned with project requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to ensure all civil works meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
• Cost Management: Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and monitor expenditures to optimize resource utilization without compromising quality or timelines.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to civil construction activities and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project progression.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including progress reports, compliance records, and technical documentation to facilitate transparency and audit readiness.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, regulatory authorities, and internal departments to foster effective communication and ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
