Job summary

A leading automation company in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Manager-Application. You will engage with customers for automation solution development, manage application programming, and conduct training sessions. Candidates should have a B.E. or equivalent diploma and at least 7 years of experience in automation products like PLC and SCADA. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Industrial Networking protocols.

Short Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer visit for detailed application study (Pre-Sales) with Sales/System Integrator team member to understand customer requirements and provide the right automation solution and products.
  • Design system architecture, prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), submission of PoC (Proof of Concept) report to sales team for advanced automation applications.
  • Review with Sales teams for PoC submitted and follow up for the closure of the order.
  • Conduct product presentation, demo and trials along with Sales team to determine the optimal configuration of automation hardware.
  • Develop application program of automation products including PLC, Servo, Motion Controller, HMI, SCADA as per the SOP (sequence of operation).
  • Conduct Installation and commissioning of automation project for customers within the stipulated time.
  • Review customer application blueprints and closely monitor project execution in collaboration with channel partner engineers until successful project commissioning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient execution and positioning of project applications.
  • Offer technical support to end users, OEM customers, and channel partners through phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Conduct training programs and OJT (On the Job Training) for customers/Channel Partners to enhance their knowledge and understanding of OMRON products.
  • Conduct seminars, road shows and trade shows to promote OMRON products.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, technical notes, quick start guide, success stories and Proof of Concept documents.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification: B.E. OR Equivalent Diploma in Electronics and communication/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering. Work Experience: -Minimum 07 Years of experience in Application programming, installation & commissioning of Automation products like HMI, PLC, SCADA, Servo & Motion Controller.- Experience of automation industries like F&C, Pharma, Automotive, Digital and Infra

Functional Skills: - Experience in programming, installation & commissioning of PLC, SCADA, Servo & Motion Controller.- Knowledge of Industrial Networking and communications like Device Net, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, EtherCAT etc.

Behavioural Skills: - Adaptable and dedicate extra hours if needed on assignments.

- Target Oriented and should have positive attitude towards work.

- Good Communication & Presentation skills with an eye for details. Travel : - Travel required in the assigned region as per business purpose. (50%)- Required to work on weekends as per customer needs

- Travel for customer visit (90%)
