Job description

Role & responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify, qualify, and audit domestic and international suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality raw materials at optimal price points.
• Partner with R&D to source and evaluate novel raw materials and alternative chemistries, accelerating innovation pipelines.
• Oversee end-to-end sample procurement workflows, ensuring rapid delivery, proper documentation, and compliance for lab testing.
• Negotiate rate contracts, annual volume pricing, and commercial terms to maintain target cost structures.
• Track global chemical indices, raw material availability, and geopolitical/regulatory shifts impacting market pricing.

Operations, Supply Chain & Local Logistics

• Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, QA/QC, and Supply Chain for demand planning and raw material readiness.
• Collaborate with technical teams to analyze sample performance data, gather feedback, and validate scale-up feasibility for commercial runs.
• Manage local transportation, dispatch scheduling, and logistics service providers to ensure timely warehouse and plant deliveries.
• Oversee site logistics execution, including gate entries, delivery note verifications, and unloading confirmations.
• Optimize safety stock levels and raw material inventory turns to minimize working capital blockage without risking stockouts.

Systems, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

• Execute end-to-end purchase cycles in SAP (PR/PO creation, GRN tracking, and invoice reconciliation).
• Build advanced Excel dashboards, monthly consumption analyses, plant inward trackers, and executive MIS reports.
• Present data-driven insights during monthly operational reviews, highlighting cost variances, savings targets, and vendor scorecards.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement records and inventory documentation for internal and external regulatory audits. Manage regulatory compliance documentation for international shipments, including REACH certifications, MRSL compliance, MSDS, COAs, and import/customs filings.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and cost-savings targets.
• Sample turnaround time (PR-to-R&D lab delivery).
• Vendor delivery OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) and quality acceptance rate.
• SAP process accuracy (PO-to-GRN cycle time).
• 100% compliance with audit and chemical safety documentation (MSDS/REACH/COA).
