Job summary

Ciel HR is hiring for an R&D Metallurgy role in Mumbai. The candidate will work on advanced material characterization, testing and failure analysis for automotive projects. Strong lab skills, attention to quality, and experience with IATF 16949/ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines are expected.

Ideal applicants have hands-on lab experience, knowledge of metallurgical principles, and the ability to report findings and support supplier evaluations in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Metallurgy / Metallurgical Engineering graduates with hands-on lab experience.
• Experience in automotive R&D, material testing and characterization is preferred.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ferrous and non-ferrous material testing and analysis.
• Conduct metallography, microstructure evaluation and hardness testing.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Prepare technical reports, test records and work instructions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for supplier sample evaluation.
• Support lab operations, calibration and maintenance of instruments.
