Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Trade Operations professional to support letters of credit, collections, and other trade finance processes. The role covers daily processing and adherence to trade guidelines such as UCP 600, URR and ISBP, with a focus on accuracy and risk mitigation.

The position requires 9-12 years of relevant experience, a Commerce-related degree (MBA preferred), and the ability to work a 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM night shift across Chennai, Hyderabad or Gurugram locations.

Qualifications

  • Graduation / MBA in Commerce or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of the letter of credit cycle and related guidelines (UCP 600, URR, ISBP).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; good interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve queries within defined TAT.
  • Monitor mailbox and respond promptly without delay.
  • Distribute work among the team on priority basis.
  • Support team members on process queries.
  • Verify all transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify risk areas and implement mitigation measures.
  • Escalate ambiguities to supervisors for clarification.
  • Assist the manager in capturing performance data and reporting MIS.

Process Overview*

Global Wholesale Banking Operations comprises operations for Commercial and Corporate banking clients. These operations support the business across US, Asia Pacific, & EMEA regions. GWBO functions include implementation and servicing of credit, depository and treasury products; processing of payments and processing of trade finance transactions.

Job Description*

Individual will support Trade Operations team across all products including Letter of Credit, Collections, Open Account, Supply Chain Finance etc. He /She will be involved in day to day processing of transactions while ensuring adherence with Trade Guidelines (UCP 600, URR, URC etc) and Bank of America standards.

Responsibilities*
  • Monitor and ensure query resolution as per TAT
  • Monitor mailbox and act accordingly without delay.
  • Distribute work among the team on priority basis
  • Support fellow team members on queries relating to process
  • Verify all transactions
  • Identify risk areas in the process and implement mitigation plans
  • Escalate any process related ambiguities to the supervisors or manager for clarification
  • Support the team manager in capturing performance related data and report MIS on a timely basis
  • Identify and implement process improvements/best practices
Requirements*
  • Education : Graduate or MBA International Business/Finance
  • Good Communication Skills (Verbal/Written)
  • In-depth knowledge of letter of credit cycle and processes
  • Knowledge of guidelines such as UCP, URR, ISBP, etc.
  • Problem solving and Analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
  • Open to working in a 24/7 environment
Education*

Graduation / Post Graduation - Preferably Commerce. NO BTECH

Certifications If Any

CDCS / CSDG

Experience Range*

9-12 Years

Foundational skills*

International Trade Finance / Letters of Credit / Guarantees and Vetting

Desired Skills

Skill Required: Letter of Credit, Doc Check, Payments, Collection, Processing experience in Trade Finance. Preferrable client servicing experience.

630pm to 630am (Rotational Night Shift)
