Job summary

Bennett University in Greater Noida invites applications for a senior role providing research support to faculty, researchers and PhD scholars. The candidate will manage research data, bibliometric studies and literature reviews, and will train users in VOSviewer, Biblioshiny, R, Python, CiteSpace, Zotero and Mendeley.

Required are MLIS/MLISc, 2–5 years experience, and publications in indexed databases is preferred; a PhD is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS/MLISc) is required.
• PGDLAN or equivalent in Library Automation/Networking is desirable.
• PhD in Library & Information Science will be an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in an academic/research library or related field.
• Research publications in Scopus, Web of Science or other indexed databases preferred.
• Experience supporting faculty, researchers and PhD scholars is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide research consultation and support to faculty, researchers and PhD scholars.
• Assist with research data management: organisation, documentation, preservation, sharing and data-management planning.
• Support literature searching, systematic reviews, bibliometric studies and research analysis.
• Conduct bibliometric/scientometric and research-impact analyses.
• Support journal identification, journal selection, indexing and publication strategy.
• Provide hands-on training in VOSviewer, Biblioshiny, R, Python, CiteSpace, Zotero, Mendeley and AI tools.
• Support citation analysis, author profiles, research visibility and scholarly communication.
• Guide researchers on research ethics, plagiarism and responsible AI use.
• Organise workshops and research consultations.
• Contribute to development of Research Support Services in the LRC.
• Prepare research analytics, reports, dashboards and institutional research-impact data.
• Identify tools to strengthen the University's research ecosystem.
