Job summary

IHCL is seeking a skilled HR professional to align the HR function with business objectives across the unit. You will lead recruitment, payroll, compliance, and associate lifecycle management to build a high-performing, diverse team.

Key focus areas include talent sourcing, onboarding, handling settlements, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving employee engagement and learning initiatives within the hotel unit.

Qualifications

  • Graduation, Masters in Business Administration or postgraduate diploma in HR management.
  • 5-7 years of work experience.
  • Fluent in English; regional dialect preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment, payroll, full and final settlement, salary cycle, and leave calculations per standards.
  • Forecast workforce requirements and plan talent resourcing accordingly.
  • Monitor exits/attrition and implement retention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and renew licenses as required.
  • Manage associate lifecycle: onboarding, offers, documentation, and role enhancements.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Drive gender diversity initiatives and associate engagement activities.

Education

Job Objective

To align & drive the Human resources function along with the business objectives / goals and provide a competitive & sustainable HR framework for the unit. To develop people capabilities in the unit by selecting, retaining, & compensating the best talent in the unit. To build a learning organization culture & to foster a healthy climate for career enhancements & employee aspirations in the unit

Essential Job Tasks
  • Monitoring and ensuring activities like recruitment, full & final settlement, salary cycle, leave calculation, etc. takes place accurately and within as per given standards.
  • Assessing the overall workforce requirement and forecast the attrition level; cushion the unit by making talent resourcing plans accordingly.
  • Monitoring all the exits & separations; strive for retaining the employees and study the reason of existing attrition.
  • Regularly review all legal compliances and renew licenses as and when required.
Areas of Responsibility
Financials & Strategy
  • Assist in preparing the annual payroll budget exercise for the hotel and ensure all statutory dues are incorporated.
  • Assist in preparing the HR Strategy workbook and workforce plan for the hotel.
  • Managing payroll activities and ensure no omission of data occurs. Ensure that all employee salaries and contractor wages are paid on time.
Associate Life-Cycle Management
  • Develop strategic sources of recruitment such as campus hiring, job portals, social media, internal mobility, role enhancements etc.
  • Assist sign off on the salaries and terms and conditions of selected associates at all levels, supervise adherence to recruitment profile, timelines and budgets.
  • Ensures timely disbursement of offer / intent letters, pre-employment formalities, appointment, confirmation, role enhancement letters to the employees concerned.
  • To maintain Associate Requisition Forms (ARF) are raised for all kinds of recruitment and planned within the approved budgeted headcount.
  • Identifies & develops strategies to increase gender diversity at the hotel level & attain the targets communicated.
  • Adherence to laid down pre-joining & Swagat processes (Welcome, Tata ecosystem, TCOC, POSH sessions, etc.).
  • Exit Interviews of all associates who have resigned and details shared with respective HOD & GM. Analysis of Exit Interview.
  • Ensure timeliness of Full & Final Settlements including payment of gratuity, leave balance and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all particulars of employees are updated in the Human Resources Management system on timely manner and reviewed periodically.
Statutory Compliances
  • Adherence to various provisions under various statutory legislations such as Employees Provident fund act, Employees state insurance act, Payment of wages act, Industrial dispute act, Contract labour regulation and abolition act, Payment of Bonus act, Payment of gratuity act, Shops and commercial establishments act, Catering and establishment act, Prevention, prohibition & redressal of sexual harassment at workplace act etc.,
  • To update the status on adherence to various statutory legislations in the EY application, along with supporting documents.
Associate Connect & Belonging
  • Administers of various employee related facilities such as staff dining, staff accommodation, ladies night drop, Happy Place, Day care centre, Lockers and restrooms, Employee transportation as per the laid down standards.
  • Communication with employees through various communication channels such as Town hall meetings, Notice boards, e-mails, skip level meetings etc.,
  • Effective usage of the internal communication portals as per the corporate directive.
  • Conduct various employment engagement activities outlined through employee Play Book & Wellbeing to maintain an energised workforce and employee wellbeing.
  • Reviews redressal of grievances received through V-Connect and other platforms in a timely manner.
  • Administers of the STARS - Special Thanks and Recognition System.
  • Follows any other Reward and Recognition program as per practice at the hotel level.
Required Qualifications

Graduation, Masters in Business adminstration or Post gradutate diploma in Human resources Management or any other relevant education.

Work Experience

5-7 years of work experience

Languages Needed in Position

Should be fluent in English and preferably the Regional dialect.

Vendors, Law firms and labour offices.
