Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Assistant Analyst - Health & Safety to implement and manage H&S practices for our Noida location. The role focuses on policies, procedures, training, incidents, and compliance with local legislation to ensure a safe workplace.

Reporting to the India H&S manager, you will maintain the Integrated Safety Management System (iSMS), conduct risk assessments, inspections, and contribute to H&S campaigns across the business.

Qualifications

• Graduate with NEBOSH or Diploma in Safety.
• BGV/background verification by third party may apply.
• Ability to implement H&S policies and practices in office and sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement H&S practices and policies for the Noida location per ISO 45001.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective H&S system deployment.
• Identify and organize H&S training for Noida employees.
• Monitor H&S performance and report to the H&S Manager.

Job description

The Assistant Analyst - Health & Safety, will report to the India H&S manager and will be responsible for the implementation of Health & Safety practices, policies and procedures within the Noida office location relative to people, projects, and premises.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the local implementation of the India H&S strategy, H&S Management System in line with ISO 45001 and the Global Expectations for Managing Health & Safety.
• Work collaboratively with the internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the Health & Safety Management System is effectively implemented locally.
• Assess the H&S training needs, plan & organize the necessary H&S training programs to cover the employees based in Noida office.
• Monitor the H&S performance periodically and communicate to the H&S Manager.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and response planning is up-to-date for the local emergencies and the arrangements for the expats and international travelers.
• Support the internal teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation pertaining to health & safety.
• Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Health & Safety in the office environment.
• Maintain our internal iSMS (Integrated Safety Management System – an online tool) for the incidents and observations statistics and other H&S related activities.
• Analyze statistics of all accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrence, with the view of making recommendations. Ensure that the near misses and incidents are investigated and the findings and root causes are addressed appropriately to prevent recurrence and the key learnings are shared business-wide.
• Perform Premises Risk Assessment and Premise Compliance Inspections at the defined frequency or as and when needed.
• Support the business in local H&S related procurements to facilitate better execution of the H&S requirements within the business.
• Ensure adequate information, advisories and notices on H&S matters are communicated to the local relevant groups on time through various means of communications.
• Support the H&S Manager in implementing relevant occupational health & well-being programs in Noida.
• Support the H&S Manager in all H&S promotional activities and campaigns within the Noida office.
• Support the H&S Manager in executing H&S Projects to cater to the lead region requirements.
