Job summary
SPML Infra Limited is seeking an AGM – Supplier Component Development to lead supplier development, qualification, and management for BESS components. You will drive APQP/PPAP, audits, cost optimization, and localization while coordinating with Design, R&D, procurement, and manufacturing to meet quality and delivery targets.
The role requires 12–18 years in supplier development or supplier quality within BESS/EV/renewable energy sectors, with strong technical and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers for BESS components.
- Develop robust supplier base for electrical, mechanical, electronics, and fabricated components.
- Drive supplier localization initiatives to reduce cost and supply chain risks.
- Lead APQP activities and approve PPAP documentation to ensure readiness for mass production.
- Manage supplier quality through audits, 8D, 5 Why, FMEA and KPI monitoring.

The AGM –Supplier Component Development (SCD) will be responsible for developing,qualifying, and managing suppliers for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)components to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, timely delivery, andlocalization. The role focuses on supplier capability assessment, new supplierdevelopment, APQP, PPAP, process audits, cost reduction, and continuoussupplier performance improvement while supporting new product development andproduction.
- Identify, evaluate, andonboard new suppliers for BESS components.
- Develop a robust supplierbase for electrical, mechanical, electronics, and fabricated components.
- Drive supplier localizationinitiatives to reduce cost and supply chain risks.
- Conduct supplier capabilityassessments and technical feasibility studies.
- Work closely with Design,R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams during new productdevelopment.
- Ensure suppliers meettechnical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Coordinate prototypedevelopment and validation.
- Lead Advanced ProductQuality Planning (APQP) activities.
- Review and approve PPAPdocumentation.
- Ensure supplier processreadiness before mass production.
