Job summary

MANNATT GUPTA invites applications for an Assistant Fashion Designer to join our design team in Noida. We seek a candidate with a keen eye for contemporary luxury, strong design sensibility, and the ability to translate concepts into finished sketches and garments.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fashion design.
• Strong understanding of fashion design, silhouettes, proportions, fabrics, construction, and garment detailing.
• Excellent fashion illustration and sketching skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with different teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team throughout the collection development process, from research and concept development to final execution.
• Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, colour stories, and visual references.
• Create accurate and detailed fashion sketches and technical illustrations.
• Assist with fabric, trim, embroidery, surface development, and garment detailing.
• Work closely with pattern masters, sampling teams, embroiderers, and production teams to ensure design intent is translated accurately.
• Prepare and maintain technical design documents, specifications, and sampling details.
• Assist with fittings, alterations, corrections, and sample development.
• Research current fashion, design, textiles, techniques, and international contemporary luxury trends.
• Support the team with design presentations, collection documentation, and other creative requirements.
• Maintain organised records of designs, samples, fabrics, trims, and ongoing developments.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of fashion design, silhouettes, proportions, fabrics, construction, and garment detailing.
• Excellent fashion illustration and sketching skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
• Strong visual and design sensibility with an understanding of contemporary fashion and luxury aesthetics.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for craftsmanship and finishing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with different teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, organised, responsible, and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
• Ability to understand and execute a creative direction while also bringing an independent perspective to the design process.

Work Mode: 100% In-Office

Working Days: Monday to Saturday
