Job summary

Mangal Industries Ltd is seeking an Assistant / Deputy Engineer - Tool Room to lead the manufacturing of new injection moulds and ensure efficient operation of tool room processes.

The role requires assembling, fitting, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mould components, while coordinating with Design, Production and Quality teams to support mould trials and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture new injection moulds as per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assemble, fit, and trial mould components to ensure proper functionality.
• Repair, modify, and maintain existing moulds to minimize production downtime.
• Operate tool room machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinder, drilling, and EDM machines.
• Perform precision fitting, polishing, grinding, and bench work.
• Inspect mould components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot mould-related problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, and Quality teams during mould trials and validation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and ensure moulds are available for production as required.
• Maintain records and documentation related to mould maintenance, repairs, modifications, and trials.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, machines, and equipment.
• Follow Safety, 5S, quality standards, and company policies.
