Job summary

Somany Ceramics Plant in Haryana invites a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech holder in Ceramic or Chemical Engineering to join our glaze production team. You will prepare and monitor glazes, engobes, and additives; operate ball mills and related equipment; and ensure glaze quality and smooth production. Freshers may apply; rotational shifts; safety compliance.

This role offers exposure to glaze chemistry and ceramic manufacturing processes within a fast-paced tile production facility.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Ceramic/Chemical Eng or related field.
• 0–5 years experience in glaze prep or ceramic tile manufacturing; freshers may apply.
• Knowledge of glaze chemistry and ceramic manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor ceramic glazes, engobes, and additives per production requirements.
• Operate and supervise ball mills, agitators, sieves, storage tanks, and pumping systems used in glaze preparation.
• Monitor glaze parameters such as density, viscosity, residue, specific gravity, and particle size.
• Ensure timely availability of glaze materials for production without interruption.
• Maintain accurate batch formulations and ensure adherence to standard recipes.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve glaze-related issues.
• Identify and troubleshoot glaze defects such as pinholes, crawling, peeling, color variation, and surface imperfections.
• Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Maintain production records, batch reports, and inventory of glaze raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, TPM, 5S, and all safety standards.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Freshers with Ceramic Engineering backgrounds may also apply.

• Knowledge of glaze chemistry and ceramic manufacturing processes is preferred.

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
