Job summary

Champak Magazine – Delhi Press in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Editor to join its editorial team. You will help plan, edit, and curate stories, activities, and puzzles for a children's magazine.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and 2–3 years of editorial experience, with strong English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus. You will coordinate with writers, designers, and translators to deliver timely content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in editorial, publishing, print media, or content editing.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Champak, one of India's most loved children's magazines published by Delhi Press, has inspired generations of young readers through engaging stories, puzzles, activities, and educational content. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our editorial team and help shape high-quality content for young audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, curating, and editing stories, articles, activities, and puzzles for the magazine.
• Review, edit, proofread, and fact-check content to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with writers, illustrators, translators, and designers to meet editorial deadlines.
