Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Director - Commercial Contracting (Alliance) to lead contract development and execution across EY's alliance ecosystem. You will coordinate with GCO, Risk, and business teams to finalise contracts, provide strategic advice, and ensure policy compliance in a global environment.

You will mentor junior lawyers, educate stakeholders on processes, and manage escalations while maintaining high integrity and standards expected by EY.

Qualifications

• Law degree with consistent strong academic record.
• 8–10 years of post-qualification experience in a multinational corporate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional teams (GCO, Risk management) for contract finalisation.
• Provide business advice to stakeholders on contract issues.
• Develop strategies to address issues in alliances and ecosystem contracting.
• Review and summarize Alliance Agreements, Teaming Agreements, NDAs and amendments.

Job Title: Assistant Director - Commercial Contracting (Alliance)

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join EY's rapidly expanding GDS GCO Enablement team and support EY's business on Alliance and third-party ecosystem relationships. As a senior lawyer, you will play key role in facilitating the EY's strategic partnerships. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to coordinate, facilitate, and advise on various aspects of contract development and execution. You will also help educate the business on the policies and processes related to Alliance and Ecosystem contracting. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, follow-up and collaborate with cross functional teams (GCO, Risk management) for contract finalisation process.
• Coordinate and provide business advice and guidance to stakeholders and end users regarding potential issues stemming from new and existing contracts.
• Work with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address issues identified.
• Communicate progress, challenges, risks, and benefits to appropriate management levels and affected user groups and other members of the EY teams.
• Coordinate, review, advise, and summarise different documents such as Alliance Agreements, Teaming Agreements, NDA's, Amendments, and other partner related documents.
• Understand the EY policies that are relevant to the transactions and adapt accordingly.
• Ensure that all contractual documents developed are compliant with EY policies and proactively identify and resolve any issues.
• Educate business teams on Alliance and Ecosystem contracting processes and requirements.
• Manage expectations with stakeholders on timing and progress.
• Communicate complex issues and resolve disputes with external stakeholders.
• Manage escalations from business teams, ecosystem teams, risk management and GCO.
• Facilitate monthly discussions with business, risk management, legal teams.
• Create content to build internal awareness of ecosystem relationships contracting activities.
• Compile, review, and distribute contract status reports.
• Mentoring junior team members
