Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in India seeks a dedicated Dialysis Technician to set up and operate haemodialysis machines for patient treatments. The role includes priming circuits, labeling patient lines, preparing dialysis solutions, and explaining procedures to patients to ease anxieties.

You will connect the machine to the patient, monitor for malfunctions, and maintain all related logs and records to ensure accurate documentation and safety.

Qualifications

• Certification in Dialysis required.
• Dialysis technology/dialysis techniques knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate haemodialysis machine for patient treatment.
• Attach dialyser and tubing; prime circuits with saline.
• Label dialyser and blood lines with patient details before use.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate as per formula.
• Explain dialysis procedure to patients to address anxieties.
• Connect machine to patient access site and initiate dialysis.
• Monitor machine for malfunctions.
• Maintain log books, forms and registers.

Job description

Summary of the role:

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
  • Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
  • Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
  • Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
  • Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
  • Connects haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
  • Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
  • Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
