Job summary

WSP India is seeking a motivated Data Analyst to support the PMO with Power BI, Power Platform, and Python-driven reporting automation. You will transform project data into insights to improve efficiency and delivery.

The role focuses on project cost control, data analysis, and automation of reports and dashboards across ERP and project management systems. 1.5–3 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1.5–3 years in Data Analytics, BI, or PMO analytics.
• Experience delivering automated reports and dashboards for project controls or cost management.
• Proficient in Power BI, Power Platform, Python, and Excel for data modelling and visualization.

Job description

WSP India is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with experience in Power BI, Power Platform, Python, and reporting automation to support the Project Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will drive automation initiatives, develop business intelligence solutions, and transform project data into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Project Cost Control

• Support project setup, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking activities using enterprise project management systems.
• Monitor project cost, schedule, resource, and revenue data and assist in generating project performance reports and forecasts
• Use Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial systems to analyze and report on project performance and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and project teams to collect, validate, and analyze project data for reporting and decision-making.
• Support data quality reviews, compliance checks, and maintenance of project records and reporting documentation.
• Contribute to project performance analysis, including variance analysis, trend reporting, and earned value metrics.

Automation and Data Analysis

• Develop and automate Project Controls reports, dashboards, and existing reporting templates using Power BI, Python, VBA, and Power Platform to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards integrated with SharePoint and project data sources to provide real-time visibility into project cost, schedule, resource, and portfolio performance.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, analysis, and consolidation from ERP, financial, and project management systems.
• Develop Power Apps, automated workflows, and reporting solutions to streamline project controls processes, approvals, and data management activities.
• Create interactive visualizations, management reports, and presentation materials that convert complex project data into meaningful business insights.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, digitize, and automate existing Project Controls processes, reports, and templates.
• Hands on experience in Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, Power Query, data modeling, and reporting automation.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, and integration with SharePoint and enterprise data sources.
• 1.5 -3 years of working knowledge of Python, VBA, Power Apps, and Power Automate for report automation, workflow development, and process improvement.
• Experience in data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis from ERP, financial, and project management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and present actionable insights.
• Understanding of reporting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis concepts.
• Familiarity with project controls, project financials, cost management, or portfolio reporting is desirable
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, governance, and quality assurance.
• Ability to create impactful dashboards, management reports, and executive presentations using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies, business processes, and project management concepts.
• Flexible with work timings to support US-based project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1.5-3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting Automation, PMO Analytics, or Project Controls Analytics.
