Assistant Technical Lead – Blockchain. Full-time, on-call availability (24x7 for critical client meetings & escalations).

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Technical Lead with deep expertise in Blockchain development, coding, architecture, and DevOps/server management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and client engagement skills and must be able to represent the company in front of clients, sell technical solutions convincingly, and handle escalations effectively. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, leadership qualities, problem-solving ability, and customer-facing confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Act as the second-in-command technical leader, supporting the Technical Lead in designing, developing, and maintaining blockchain-based applications and solutions.
• Provide architecture-level design inputs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of blockchain platforms.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers in blockchain technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Blockchain Development: Write clean, optimized, and scalable blockchain code using Solidity, Rust, Go, Node.js, or other relevant technologies.
• Build and deploy smart contracts, DApps, tokenization platforms (ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155), and blockchain integrations.
• Ensure gas optimization, security audits, and on-chain/off-chain integration strategies.
• Server & DevOps: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and blockchain node deployments.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman), and monitoring tools.
• Handle server-level troubleshooting, performance tuning, and high-availability setups.
• Client Engagement & Communication: Be available 24x7 for client calls, escalations, and critical meetings across time zones.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, explaining blockchain concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• Represent the company in presentations, demos, and negotiations, ensuring technical credibility in front of stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and business teams to pitch blockchain-based solutions and close deals.
• Support sales teams in technical proposals, solution architecture, and client onboarding.
• Demonstrate ability to sell ideas, solutions, and products effectively using technical depth.
• Build proof of concepts (POCs) and showcase product capabilities to win client confidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5–8 years of software development, with at least 3+ years in blockchain development.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Ethereum, Polygon, Hyperledger, Binance Smart Chain, or other major blockchains.
• Experience with ERC standards, smart contracts, NFTs, DeFi, and Layer-2 solutions.
• Knowledge of blockchain consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and security best practices.
• Strong grasp of system architecture, distributed systems, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with server management, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to convince and influence clients, partners, and internal stakeholders; strong problem-solving mindset; ability to lead and inspire technical teams while managing multiple priorities.
• 24x7 availability mindset for urgent calls and escalations.
