Job summary

Newton School in Pune invites applications for Associate Professor positions in Computer Science with a focus on AI/ML. You will deliver lectures, mentor students, and shape AI/ML curricula to align with industry needs, while contributing to the growth of our academic programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• Prior teaching, mentoring, or academic experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and passion for teaching and student development.
• Familiarity with industry tools, frameworks, and technologies relevant to AI/ML.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include delivering impactful lectures, developing relevant AI/ML curriculum, guiding students through labs and real-world projects, and contributing to the academic growth of the department.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Teaching & Learning
  • Teach and engage students in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related subjects.
  • Build and refine AI/ML course content to keep it relevant, industry-aligned, and impactful.
  • Lead lab sessions, support hands-on learning, and guide students through AI/ML projects and research work.
  • Provide consistent academic support through mentoring, tutoring, and doubt-solving.
• Academic Ownership & Innovation
  • Take ownership of student learning outcomes and overall academic quality in AI/ML programs.
  • Lead or contribute to AI/ML research initiatives, innovation projects, and departmental development.
  • Cultivate a supportive, collaborative, and inspiring learning environment.
• Collaboration & Administration
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, academic teams, and industry partners to enhance AI/ML learning experiences.
