Assistant Accountant

Job summary

NextGen Group seeks a qualified accountant to manage P&L and balance sheet preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, with strong bookkeeping and finalization of the BS. You will code GL transactions, review AR/AP, and prepare financial statements (P&L, BS, cash flow).

You will communicate with clients to resolve queries and handle BAS and GST returns; familiarity with Xero/MYOB and learning new software is a plus.

Qualifications

• CA (Inter) preferable
• Experience of Australian Accounting is an added advantage
• B.Com /M.Com with solid accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of Xero/MYOB accounting software would be an added advantage
• Comfortable in learning and working with new software
