Qualifications

  • Apply deep understanding of alternative fund structures including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund vehicles
  • Interpret IFRS and US GAAP to resolve complex technical accounting matters
  • Perform detailed variance analysis with strong numerical accuracy
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Present analysis and recommendations effectively in senior forums
  • Manage competing priorities under pressure while meeting tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quarter-end property financial statements, adjustments, variance analysis, and asset and debt appraisals, providing strategic direction on complex technical accounting matters
  • Direct the review of fund financial statements, NAV pricing, and performance metrics including time-weighted returns, IRR, and equity multiple across funds and vehicles
  • Serve as technical accounting authority for IFRS and US GAAP, advising on complex accounting policy matters
  • Implement financial reporting processes, reconciliations, and controls while driving process improvements across the portfolio
  • Analyze investment financial statements to confirm accuracy and completeness while identifying trends and risks
  • Manage relationships with senior controllers, portfolio managers, auditors, administrators, and investors as primary contact for complex financial matters
  • Coordinate audit activities with external auditors to support timely completion and alignment on deliverables
  • Resolve audit findings through documented corrective actions and remediation
  • Approve funding requests by validating documentation and alignment with investment strategies
  • Coach team members through technical guidance and ongoing professional development
  • Facilitate senior-level meetings and executive presentations to align stakeholders and gain consensus on complex financial issues

As a Fund Controller Vice President in Asset Management team, you oversee end-to-end fund and property financial reporting across multiple funds and investment vehicles. You serve as a technical accounting authority across reporting standards, ensuring accuracy, strong controls, and timely audit outcomes. You partner with senior stakeholders to deliver clear insights that support strategic planning and complex decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct the review of fund financial statements, net asset value pricing, and performance metrics including time-weighted returns, internal rate of return, and equity multiple across multiple funds and investment vehicles
  • Serve as technical accounting authority for International Financial Reporting Standards and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, advising on complex accounting policy matters
  • Implement financial reporting processes, reconciliations, and controls while driving process improvements across the portfolio
  • Analyze investment financial statements to confirm accuracy and completeness while identifying trends and risks
  • Manage relationships with senior controllers, portfolio managers, auditors, administrators, and investors as the primary point of contact for complex financial matters
