Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Assembly Jr. Engineer II in Maharashtra to support manufacturing operations by helping develop, optimize, and maintain assembly processes and equipment on the production floor.

You will contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product quality and efficiency. You will assist in creating new processes, analyze production data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing/assembly experience.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Experience with CAD software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new assembly processes and equipment.

  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to assembly equipment and processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for assembly defects and implement corrective actions.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineering, to achieve project goals.
  • Support the training of production operators on new or revised assembly procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all assembly operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
