Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a dedicated technician for our Kancheepuram, India site to support assembly operations and machine shop tasks. You will follow SOPs, assist in setup and inspections, and help meet daily production targets while maintaining 5S and safety standards.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical engineering or any degree, 1+ years of experience, and willingness to work shifts in a shopfloor environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR any degree.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts.
• Willingness to work in a shopfloor/production environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to machine shop processes.
• Good attitude, discipline and teamwork.
• Willing to work in shifts if required.
• Shop-floor based role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day machine shop operations.
• Operate and support conventional machines such as punching, powder coating, drilling/tapping, etc.
• Learn and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Support production activities to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Assist in basic machine setup, measurement, and inspection.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.
• Work under supervision and continuously improve technical skills.

Kancheepuram-India To perform assembly operations efficiently and accurately by following standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, safety compliance, and achievement of daily production targets. You will report to Production Supervisor / Assembly Manager and follow a onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram.

Your responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day machine shop operations
• Operate and support conventional machines such as Punching , powder coating , Drilling/tapping etc.
