PLM Solution Architect – Role description

This permanent role is a full-time position in Assa Abloy which aim to further strengthen our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Competence Centre (CC) Team and our OnePLM ecosystem of tools and capabilities, so that our Innovation centres and Manufacturing sites across the globe can become even more collaborative, efficient, and agile.

The position, based in India, will report to the Global PLM Program Manager located in Milan, Italy.

Responsibilities and Challenges

Support the PLM Service delivery organization to setup a DevOps team which will develop and deploy fixes monthly.

Partners with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions following and Agile working methodology.

Partners with other enterprise and solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution.

In charge of making sure that all existing and future technical solutions will be documented in a sustainable way.

Simplifying complexity through conceptualization.

Support the evaluation of new technologies identifying relevant use cases and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Supports the development of a federation of systems following recognized standards like ISO 10303-243.

Provides PLM CC with technical assistance and support for technical documentation, customer facing presentations and engagements, including leading customer communications.

Technical Qualifications

10+ years of documented experience within the PLM/PDM domain.

Proven experience escalating technical customer issues.

Experience in Teamcenter BMIDE codeless configurations, codeless customizations.

Experience with integrations with ERP & MES.

Knowledge of Teamcenter modules like: My Teamcenter, Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Access Manager, Query Builder, Teamcenter Visualization, Teamcenter Supplier Collaboration, Requirements Management, Reporting and Analytics.

Expert Skills with Teamcenter Customizations (Java, SWT, RAC, C / C ++, ITK, SOA, XML), Active Workspace (AWC) Configuration and Customization.

Good negotiation skills, able to lead business through discussions and workshops and be able to uncover key use cases and press gaps.

Language Skills

Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in written.
