Job summary

ASIGN is seeking a Content Editor through Festivals From India to craft, edit, and format content for our website, social media, campaigns and brand communications. The role emphasizes accuracy, engagement, and consistent tone, working closely with Design, Marketing and Product teams.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of content editing experience, excellent English, sharp attention to detail, and familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Festivals From Indiais hiring on behalf of their client,ASIGN, for aContent Editor to create, edit, proofread, and format short- and long-form content for ASIGN’s website, social media, campaigns, and brand communication.

The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, accurate, engaging, and consistent content, while working closely with the Design, Marketing, and Product teams. The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of content/editing experience, excellent English and attention to detail, strong research skills, and familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.

• The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.

• This is an on-site, full-time position based in Chennai.
• The salary band for this role is available upon request.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Communications, Literature, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent command of written English, including grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and proofreading.
• Strong understanding of content writing, editing, formatting, and digital communication.
• A relevant content portfolio demonstrating short- and long-form writing is preferred.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Content Writing, Editing, Formatting, Copywriting, or a related role.
• Experience creating and editing content for websites, social media, blogs, campaigns, and marketing materials.
• Experience working closely with Design, Marketing, and Product teams to develop and publish content.
• Hands‑on experience using ChatGPT, Claude, or other Generative AI tools for content ideation, drafting, editing, and research.
• Experience with content management/review tools, fact-checking, and quality control is preferred.
