Job summary

WTW is seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer for its Captive and Insurance Management Solutions (CIMS) organisation. The role is hands-on, combining AI engineering with solution thinking and business problem-solving to move AI initiatives from pilot to scalable production.

You will identify opportunities, design and implement AI-enabled solutions, and work with stakeholders to deliver measurable business value across global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence engineering, software engineering, Generative AI, automation or related technology roles, with hands-on delivery experience.
• Hands-on experience developing or implementing AI-enabled solutions, from concept or pilot through production.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents and/or intelligent automation.

Job Summary

The Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for helping identify, develop, implement and scale Artificial Intelligence solutions across the CIMS (Captive and Insurance Management Solutions ) organisation. The role will work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing processes and Artificial Intelligence use cases, assess appropriate technology approaches, and turn promising solutions into practical, production-ready capabilities.

The role is hands‑on and requires a combination of Artificial Intelligence engineering, solution thinking and business problem‑solving. The successful candidate will help move Artificial Intelligence initiatives beyond experimentation by improving operational efficiency, scaling successful use cases and delivering measurable business value.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Understand business processes, pain points and existing Artificial Intelligence use cases, and identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can create measurable value.
• Assess existing Artificial Intelligence solutions and pilots and recommend practical approaches to improve, integrate and scale them.
• Design, develop and implement Artificial Intelligence -enabled solutions using appropriate pro‑code, low‑code and enterprise‑approved technologies.
• Build and integrate solutions using capabilities such as Generative Artificial Intelligence, LLMs(Large Language Models), RAG, Artificial Intelligence agents, automation, APIs(Application Programming Interface) and enterprise platforms.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions while balancing usability, scalability, security, data privacy and responsible Artificial Intelligence considerations.
• Work with Technology, business SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) Artificial Intelligence governance and other stakeholders to take solutions from assessment and prototyping through implementation and adoption.
• Create reusable solution patterns and approaches that can be applied across CIMS (Captive and Insurance Management Solutions) processes and global operations.
• Measure the impact of Artificial Intelligence solutions through metrics such as efficiency, turnaround time, quality, adoption and capacity released.
• Stay current with emerging Artificial Intelligence capabilities and recommend relevant technologies where they can address business needs effectively.

• Typically 5+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence engineering, software engineering, Generative Artificial Intelligence, automation or related technology roles, with hands‑on delivery experience.
• Hands‑on experience developing or implementing Artificial Intelligence -enabled solutions, preferably taking solutions from concept or pilot through production.
• Strong understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence, LLM(Large Language Models) applications, prompt engineering, RAG, Artificial Intelligence agents and/or intelligent automation.
• Experience with Python and/or other relevant programming technologies, APIs(Application Programming Interface) and enterprise application integration.
• Experience with cloud or enterprise Artificial Intelligence platforms and familiarity with low-code/no-code Artificial Intelligence and automation platforms is desirable.
• Ability to understand ambiguous business problems, evaluate technology options and translate them into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in insurance, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Experience working with Microsoft Artificial Intelligence and automation technologies such as Azure Artificial Intelligence, Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
• Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence with business applications, data sources, document repositories or workflow platforms.
• Experience taking Artificial Intelligence pilots into production and scaling solutions across teams, processes or geographies.
