Job summary

AB InBev GCC India seeks a skilled Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to drive AI-powered procurement/logistics initiatives. You’ll design scalable AI-driven software, implement data exchange using MCP, and deploy via Azure DevOps in a fast-paced agile team.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, ensure robust production deployments, and continuously learn emerging tech to improve customer operations and experiences globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng/IS or related field.
  • 5+ years hands-on Software Engineer experience delivering scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end software solutions using generative AI within logistics tech.
  • Utilize low/no-code tools to accelerate development and deployments.
  • Integrate with SAP and manage data flow between procurement and logistics.
  • Develop Python ML stack-based applications for automation and analytics.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and ensure production readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align with business needs.
  • Document designs, workflows, and provide leadership-ready technical content.

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Analytics

PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking a professional with expertise in applying Generative Artificial Intelligence to join our our procurement technology project team. As a team member, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions globally, primarily using generative AI technologies, directly contributing to optimize our business operations and transform customer experience through advanced technological solutions.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end software solutions using generative AI technologies and machine learning within the logistics technology department.
  • Utilize low/no-code tools as accelerators for development and solution implementation.
  • Good to Have - Integrate and work with SAP systems to ensure seamless data flow between procurement and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) to structure, manage, and optimize data exchange between applications and ML models.
  • Develop and deploy applications using Python and Machine Learning (ML) stack to automate invoice validation, anomaly detection, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, and align deliverables with business needs.
  • Implement and maintain deployment pipelines, leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD automation.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and performance standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in software engineering.
  • Maximize scalability, performance, usability, and reliability of developed applications
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
  • Systematically analyze continuous improvement opportunities in already developed systems.
  • Demonstrate initiative for autonomous learning and constant updates on emerging technologies
  • Actively participate in Scrum events and ensure commitment to agreed schedules and deliveries
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Software Engineer, with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions in a collaborative team environment.
Technical/Functional Skills:
Mandatory Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for managing context in ML-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in application development and deployment in production environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Participate in and promote collaboration, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Consistently apply compassionate communication in the professional environment.
  • Present technical content to leadership and other stakeholders in fluent English.
Preferred (Good to have) Skills:
  • Professional experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sector
  • Previous work under Agile methodology and Scrum framework
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and processes
