Role Description

The Article Assistant will support the firm’s accounting, tax, and audit functions through day-to-day work on client engagements. Responsibilities include assisting in bookkeeping, preparation and review of financial statements, and supporting statutory and tax audits under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves working on Income Tax and GST compliance, including return preparation, documentation, and basic research on applicable laws and regulations. The Article Assistant will also help in drafting reports, maintaining work papers, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of assignments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur, requiring regular coordination with team members and clients.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed CA Articleship eligibility as per ICAI regulations, with a strong interest in accounting, auditing, and taxation.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping practices, including use of common accounting software.
• Basic understanding of Income Tax and GST laws, return filing processes, and compliance requirements, with willingness to learn and stay updated.
