Role Description

The Article Assistant will support the firm’s audit, accounting, taxation, and compliance engagements under the supervision of senior professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing and maintaining accounting and bookkeeping records, supporting income tax and GST registrations and filings, and helping with financial statement preparation, consolidation, and basic analysis. The role also involves drafting working papers, organizing documentation for regulatory filings, assisting with company law procedures, and contributing to technology-enabled tasks such as data migration or report generation. The Article Assistant will coordinate with clients to gather information, ensure timely completion of assignments, and adhere to professional and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.



Qualifications


  • Candidates should possess strong accounting and auditing skills, including familiarity with bookkeeping, financial statements, and audit working papers.

  • Candidates should possess tax-related skills, such as basic knowledge of income tax, GST, TDS, and exposure to compliance filings and documentation.

  • Candidates should possess regulatory and company law skills, including understanding of corporate filings, registrations, and statutory requirements.

  • Candidates should possess technology and analytical skills, including comfort with Excel, accounting software, data handling, and an aptitude for automation tools or BI reports.

  • Candidates should possess communication and professional skills, including clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

  • Pursuing or completed Chartered Accountancy articleship eligibility (as per ICAI norms), with a strong academic foundation in commerce, accounting, or finance.

  • Demonstrated integrity, willingness to learn, and interest in developing expertise in advisory, compliance, and technology-driven finance will be beneficial.
