Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced Senior Arrangement & Piping Engineer for Power, Energy, and Industrial Plant projects in India. You will lead end-to-end 3D plant design, equipment arrangement, piping layouts, and deliver GA drawings, isometrics, and pipe supports. Strong AVEVA E3D/PDMS, AutoCAD, and Navisworks skills are essential.

The role covers design through detailed engineering, with site support during erection, commissioning, and testing. 5–10 years in similar EPC settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in power, energy or industrial plant piping projects.
• Strong expertise in plant layout, 3D design, and mechanical arrangement using AVEVA E3D/PDMS.
• Proficient in piping routing, isometrics, and clash resolution.
• Experience with hydrotest/pressure testing and insulation/heat tracing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop plant layout, site arrangement, and underground utility networks.
• Perform 3D power plant design and equipment arrangement with AVEVA E3D/PDMS.
• Create and maintain 3D models for equipment, piping systems, and plant modules.
• Execute piping routing for water, steam, air, gas, and utilities.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution with multidisciplinary teams using E3D/Navisworks.
• Generate GA drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, pipe supports, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare hydrotest and pressure test mark-ups and support site activities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Arrangement & Piping Engineer with expertise in Power Plant Design, Plant Layout Engineering, Mechanical Arrangement, and Piping Engineering. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for 3D Plant Design, equipment arrangement, piping layout, and generation of engineering deliverables for large-scale Power, Energy, and Industrial Plant Projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in AVEVA E3D/PDMS, Plant Layout Design, Pipe Routing, Isometric Generation, Clash Detection, and Mechanical Arrangement Engineering from concept through detailed engineering and site support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop overall plant layout, site arrangement, underground utility networks, and mechanical network planning.
• Perform Power Plant 3D Design and equipment arrangement using AVEVA E3D/PDMS.
• Create and maintain 3D models for equipment, piping systems, structural interfaces, and plant modules.
• Execute piping routing for water, steam, air, gas, and utility systems from concept through detailed engineering.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution with civil, structural, and multidisciplinary engineering teams using E3D and Navisworks.
• Define plant arrangement concepts including:
• Access and maintenance zones
• Walkways and platforms
• Laydown area planning
• Design large modular plant sections including equipment positioning, piping layout, basic steel interfaces, and manufacturing considerations.
• Generate engineering deliverables including:
• General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
• Piping Layout Drawings
• Isometric Drawings
• Pipe Support Drawings
• Installation and fabrication drawings
• Prepare hydrotest and pressure test mark-ups.
• Review and resolve technical queries associated with piping and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, vendors, and site personnel during project execution.
• Support site activities including installation, erection, commissioning, and technical clarifications.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in Arrangement Engineering and Piping Engineering for Power, Energy, or Industrial Plant projects.
• Expertise in Plant Layout Design and Mechanical Arrangement Engineering.
