Job summary

IHFL in Chennai seeks a seasoned professional to drive branch performance across business development, operations, and branch administration. You will lead branch teams to achieve AUM targets, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize processes.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in GL/NBFC/retail lending or banking, with at least 2 years in team leadership; strong knowledge of gold loan processes and risk norms. Experience in cost controls and vendor management is valued.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in GL, NBFC, Retail lending or Banking.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Handling role.
• Strong knowledge of gold loan processes, valuation basics, and risk norms.

Responsibilities

• Drive branches to achieve Business Targets, profitability and AUM targets MoM & FY; ensure cross-sell and upsell of financial products where applicable.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure proper conduct of Credit Assessment, KYC Adherence, Auction, Expense Management, Cash Transit, Key Management, Bank Account Opening, Data Backup, Records maintenance, and Customer Grievance Redressal within the agreed TAT.
• Completion of Branch Manning as per prescribed TAT; manage and guide Branch Managers and Front-Line Staff; conduct regular performance reviews and set clear KRA parameters.
• Ensure proper visibility of branches within locality through branding and maintain branch infrastructure, assets, and cost-control measures; manage vendors and infra issues as per defined TAT.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development:

• Drive branches to achieve Business Targets. Profitability and AUM targets M-O-M & FY; ensure cross-sell and upsell of financial products where applicable.
• Daily monitoring of critical parameters of Branch Score Card and Qualitative branch visits to drive, implement and facilitate business development strategies,
• Identify and assess market needs, market potential and competitor activities
• Plan and drive marketing campaigns or activities for branches to generate leads, ensure updation in Lead management module and effective follow up and conversion.
• Responsible for business disbursal/transaction numbers/values and AUM targets; Responsibility for cross selling targets

2. Operations:

• Regulatory Compliance: Guide and ensure proper conduct of matters relating to Credit Assessment, KYC Adherence, Auction, Expense Management, Cash Transit, Key Management, Bank Account Opening, Data Backup, Maintenance of Records / Documents / Registers, Closure of Gold Inspection/Audit Remarks and Customer Grievance Redressal within the agreed TAT.
• Ensure timely interest collection by branches and recovery of over dues as per targets, guiding branches to minimize NPA status of accounts as well as auction.
• Guide branches to ensure quality of the Assets / Collaterals / Ornaments pledged, take remedial actions for loss due to Spurious / Low Purity / theft ornaments & initiate efforts for recovery, follow up of Court Cases.

3. Manpower:

• Completion of Branch Manning as per the prescribed TAT
• Manage and guide Branch Managers and Front-Line Staff, conduct regular performance review and set clear KRA parameters
• Identify training requirements and accordingly facilitate training in product, process and procedures for branch staff
• To monitor all Labour and Statutory norms are adhered to, ensure display of required notices and maintenance of statutory registers at branches; Shop & Establishment Registration and renewals, Contract renewals and extensions etc.

4. Branch Infrastructure and Administration:

• Ensure proper visibility of branches within locality through branding as per Corporate guidelines.
• Upkeep and maintenance of assigned branches, timely maintenance and renewal of furniture, critical assets (webcam, scanner, printer, CCTV, Data connectivity items etc.) and stationary; ensure branches maintain records of the same.
• Attend to and close all Infra-related issues of branches including rentals and matters relating to contract renewals, weighing machines & other statutory requirements, as per defined TAT.
• Timely approval of expenses, devise and implement effective cost-control measures.
• Identify new vendors and manage existing ones to cater to all administrative and infrastructure needs of branches.
• Safety and security, Housekeeping, Hygiene and office management. Timely escalation of Infra & Admin issues to line Regional Manager / Zonal Manager.
