Job summary

CBTS in Chennai seeks an experienced Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator to lead our enterprise server estates across Windows and Linux, spanning on‑prem and cloud environments. The role drives modernization, sets standards, and ensures secure, scalable operations.

You will guide a team of engineers, implement automation, manage backups and patching, and collaborate with security teams to meet audits and release cycles.

Qualifications

• Experience in on-premise and cloud-based compute environments.
• Proficiency in automation, patching, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and optimization of enterprise server environments across Windows/Linux.
• Define administration standards, baselines, backups, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee configuration management, patch automation, and OS security for large-scale systems.
• Drive modernization projects including virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, and cloud readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning for compute/storage.
• Collaborate with security teams on IAM, endpoint protection, and audits.
• Support release cycles, change management, and platform readiness for upgrades.
• Provide technical leadership to system engineers and engineers.

Leads enterprise system administration, automation, and compute platform modernization, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient operations across on-premise and cloud-based server environments.

• · Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• · Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning across compute and storage environments.
• · Collaborate with security teams to enforce identity, access, endpoint protection, and audit requirements.
• · Support release cycles, change management, and compute platform readiness for enterprise upgrades.
• · Provide technical leadership to system engineers, guiding them on best practices and operational excellence.
