Job summary

Sonata Software in Bengaluru/Bangalore/Hyderabad seeks an experienced Microsoft 365 & Active Directory Migration Lead to design and deliver tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. The role includes building AD/M365 environments for carved-out entities and migrating users and computers across forests.

Open to a senior professional with 12–18 years of experience, who can configure Entra Connect, perform domain cutovers, and automate tasks using PowerShell

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
• Ability to configure Entra Connect, perform soft-match and domain cutovers.
• Hands-on delivery of large-scale migrations with 5,000+ users.
• Strong PowerShell and Graph API automation skills.
• Experience with EMS/E3, Intune, Purview/AIP, Defender for O365 and DLP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations across key workloads.
• Build new AD and M365 environments for carved-out entities and migrate users/computers.
• Configure Entra Connect, perform domain cutovers, and validate post-migration stability.
• Lead the delivery team, assist presales, and automate tasks where possible.

Job Title: Microsoft 365 & Active Directory Migration Lead

Experience: 12–18 years

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations covering Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, as well as migrations from third-party email platforms using IMAP.
• Build new AD and M365 environments for carved-out entities, and migrate users and computers across forests.
• Configure Entra Connect, including soft-match, UPN/SMTP changes, and domain cutovers.
• Deploy EMS E3, Intune, Purview/AIP, Defender for O365, and DLP.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and Graph API, lead the delivery team, and support presales.

Must-Have Skills

• Identity: Active Directory, Entra ID, and Entra Connect.
• Tools: BitTitan MigrationWiz, Quest, ShareGate, AvePoint, ADMT, and SysTools.
• Workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Security and automation: Intune, DLP, and PowerShell.
• Scale: Hands-on delivery of migrations with 5,000+ users.

Good to Have

• Certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or AZ-104.
• Experience with Mimecast.
• Background in the BFSI or manufacturing sector
