Icertis is seeking an Architect, DevOps to lead the technical vision and architectural design of DevOps platforms across its engineering ecosystem in Pune. This hands-on leader will drive secure, scalable, and automated DevOps solutions, collaborating with Product Engineering, CloudOps, SRE, and IT to ensure continuous delivery excellence.

The role requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, strong Azure DevOps and Kubernetes skills, and a track record of enterprise-grade delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering and platform architecture.
• 4+ years designing DevOps architectures in Azure-heavy environments.
• Strong CI/CD expertise (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TFS).
• Hands-on container orchestration experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker/Helm.
• Proficient in PowerShell and Python-based automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK) and AppInsights.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of enterprise DevOps automation across the full app lifecycle.
• Create secure, scalable DevOps platforms enabling self-service provisioning.
• Define standards for DevOps toolchains including GitOps and Azure DevOps.
• Build infrastructure templates with Terraform, Ansible, and ARM templates.
• Enable lifecycle management of container workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Develop internal tooling and APIs to accelerate platform capabilities.
• Integrate observability tools and CMDB for visibility.
• Collaborate with SRE, CloudOps, Security, and IT for resilient infra.
• Lead incident response and RCA to improve pipeline stability.
• Champion reusable DevOps frameworks across global teams.

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years in software engineering, platform architecture, with proven enterprise-grade delivery.
• 4+ years designing DevOps architecture in Azure-heavy, Microsoft-technology platforms.
• Mastery of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TFS), GitOps principles, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM).
• Hands-on experience in container orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker/Helm deployments.
• Strong backend/API automation experience using PowerShell and Python (FastAPI or similar).
• Skilled in monitoring and observability integrations (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
• Solid understanding of platform security, compliance, multi-tenant resilience, and rollback strategies.
• Excellent communicator capable of influencing Product Engineering, CloudOps, SRE, and executive stakeholders.
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions, Azure DevOps, or relevant cloud IaC certifications preferred.

What You'll Do

• Own the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade DevOps automation, tooling, and platform architecture across the full application lifecycle.
• Craft secure, scalable, and maintainable DevOps solutions, enabling product teams to self-service environment provisioning, builds, and deployments.
• Define architectural standards and best practices for DevOps toolchains including GitOps and Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TFS pipelines.
• Architect robust infrastructure templates and provisioning patterns using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and ARM templates.
• Enable lifecycle management of container workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm ensuring scalable deployments and rollout strategies.
• Build and expose internal tooling and APIs (via PowerShell, Python + FastAPI or equivalents) to accelerate platform capabilities and developer productivity.
• Incorporate observability and visibility by integrating monitoring/CMDB tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, AppInsights).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with SRE, CloudOps, Security, and IT to enforce resilient, compliant, and scalable infrastructure patterns.
• Lead incident response, technical root cause analysis, and continuous improvements to pipeline stability and rollback mechanisms.
• Champion reusable toolkits and DevOps frameworks that promote consistency, speed, and reliability across global engineering teams.
