Job summary

PwC’s Acceleration Center India seeks an Architect/Delivery Lead- Senior Manager to guide data engineering architecture and delivery across cloud modernization programs. You will oversee design, data pipelines, and implementation across Azure, Databricks, and related platforms while aligning with client goals and timelines.

You will drive complex programs, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and ensure architectural discipline across data lakes, warehouses, and analytics workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 12+ years of experience
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Proficient with Azure cloud and big data technologies
• Deep knowledge of traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Data Bricks, Data Flows, HDInsight, Azure Analysis Services
• Experience building stream-processing systems (Storm, Spark-Streaming)
• Knowledge of Lambda/Kappa design patterns and real-time analytics
• Experience with Microsoft Data Platform, Azure Data Services and related SQL/NoSQL technologies
• Exposure to Open-Source tech like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Solr/Elastic Search

As a Architect/Delivery Lead- Senior Manager you will lead client support efforts within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice, guiding multidisciplinary teams through the design and delivery of data engineering solutions that advance data modernisation priorities. As a Senior Manager you will apply strategic judgment, drive large programs, and bring together technical skills, business insight, and clear communication to manage complex workstreams, resolve issues, and shape outcomes across multiple stakeholders. In this role at PwC, you will oversee delivery across cloud engineering, data architecture, and engineering execution, while helping teams adapt approaches, communicate progress, and maintain operational discipline across client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Leading data engineering architecture and delivery workstreams across cloud-based modernization initiatives
• Translating client goals into scalable data platform designs, delivery plans, and technical roadmaps
• Guiding teams in building, integrating, and tuning data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouse solutions
• Applying Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and Hadoop to support modern data environments
• Driving data modeling, transformation, validation, and quality practices across complex implementations
• Advising clients on data architecture, platform selection, security controls, and performance optimization
• Coordinating delivery across technical teams, client stakeholders, and business leaders to address risks and dependencies
• Coaching delivery teams through ambiguity, prioritization changes, and complex technical problem solving
• Developing repeatable methods for Agile scalability, rapid experimentation, and data modernization execution
• Validating solution designs and implementation outcomes against business objectives, technical requirements, and delivery timelines

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor’s degree
• At least 12+ years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
  Proficient with Azure cloud computing, including big data technologies.
• Experience with deep understanding in both traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Data warehousing, big data, NoSQL and business analytics
• Rich experience working in Azure ADLS, Data Bricks, Data Flows, HDInsight, Azure Analysis services
• Experience in building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming
• Understanding of big data use‑cases and Lambda/Kappa design patterns
• Knowledge of real time/stream analytics trends.
• Architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures (i.e. having an architectural sense for connecting data sources, data visualization, structured and unstructured data, etc.)
• Demonstrable hands‑on experience implementing Big Data solutions using Microsoft Data Platform and Azure Data Services
• Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure HD Insight, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Machine Learning, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure CosmosDB and Power BI
• Exposure to Open‑Source technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, Kafka, Solr/Elastic Search
