Job summary

The Gurukulam School, powered by Physicswallah Ltd., is seeking a dedicated Archery Teacher/Coach to train and mentor students in archery. You will develop technical skills, safety discipline, and competitive readiness through structured programs, tracking progress and providing constructive feedback.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field and possess archery coaching certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports, or a relevant discipline preferred.
• Archery certification/coaching qualification from a recognized organization preferred.
• Prior experience as Archery Coach/Teacher in a school, academy, sports club, or similar institution.
• Experience in preparing students for competitive archery will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of archery techniques, rules, safety protocols, and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular archery training sessions for students.
• Teach fundamental and advanced archery techniques, including stance, grip, posture, aiming, drawing, anchoring, and release.
• Develop age-appropriate training plans based on students’ skill levels.
• Identify and nurture talented students for school, district, state, and national-level competitions
• Prepare students for archery tournaments and competitive events.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe handling of archery equipment.
• Maintain strict safety standards during all training sessions.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop students’ concentration, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Maintain attendance, performance records, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with the Sports Department, school leadership, and parents regarding student development.
• Organize and support participation in inter-school and external competitions.
• Stay updated with relevant archery rules, techniques, and competition standards.
