Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission postponed the conduction of the APPSC assistant professor exam 2023. Previously, the APPSC assistant professor 2023 exam was scheduled to be conducted on December 18, 2023 and January 5, 2024. The APPSC assistant professor exam date is yet to be released. The commission activated the APPSC application form 2023 from October 30 to November 20, 2023. Candidates are recommended to check the official website, psc.ap.gov.in regularly for the exam dates.
About APPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2023
(APPSC) conducts APPSC Assistant Professor exam for selection of Assistant Professor designation in various universities. The exam is conducted in two phases, Phase I and Phase II. Phase I acts as the screening test and Phase II is the final exam. In order to apply, candidates will have to enter their details and other required attachments online, then submit the form along with the required fee. After the online process has concluded, aspirants will print the final application form and acknowledgement of the Registration fee and submit it offline to the Registrar Offices of specified universities/colleges.
Exam Pattern
- Phase I (Screening Test) – 120 objective type questions, 2 hours, 120 marks, each question worth 1 mark, negative marking 0.3 marks per wrong answer. Types: multiple choice, matching, true/false, assertion‑reasoning.
- Phase II (Final Exam) – 180 objective type questions, 3 hours, 180 marks, each question worth 1 mark, negative marking 0.3 marks per wrong answer. Types: multiple choice, matching, true/false, assertion‑reasoning.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must have at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale) at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject.
- Applicant must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or any similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET or SET.
- NET, SLET or SET will not be required for Master’s programmes in subjects for which the exams are not conducted.
