Responsibilities

• Operate the Packing Section including Rotary Vacuum Filters, Block Wrapping Machines, Crumbled Packing Lines, Secondary Packing Line.
• Manage manpower in the packing section, including contract workers.
• Follow supervisor instructions promptly during shifts.
• Be a team player and collaborate with other operators.
• Be prepared to work in different plant sections as required by supervisors.
• Adhere to SOPs for equipment and process plant operations.
• Coordinate with DCS operators for smooth plant operation.
• Take samples and run tests as directed to ensure proper process progression.
• Ensure zero wastage and no shortcuts in packing operations.
• Maintain hygiene in Zone 4 high risk zone to prevent contamination.
• Keep equipment and surrounding area clean at all times.
• Discuss warning signals/alarms with supervisor and take corrective actions.
• Regulate or stop machines in emergencies and report to supervisor.
• Report shift issues to manager and maintain production logs.
• Follow Health, Safety, and Food Safety policies for compliant operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating the Packing Section including Rotary Vacuum Filters, Block Wrapping Machines, Crumbled Packing Lines, Secondary Packing Line.
• Handle the manpower in the packing section involving the contract workers.
• Follow instructions from the supervisory staff quickly and precisely in the shifts.
• Be a team player and work hand in hand with other operators.
• Should be ready to work in any sections of the plant based on the requirements and instructions from the supervisors.
• Follow the SOP provided for smooth operation of the equipment and process plant.
• Follow instructions and communicate with DCS operators for smooth operation of the plant.
• Take samples and perform tests as per SOP and instruction from the supervisor to ensure the process is progressing properly.
• Ensure no wastage in the operation of the section.
• Ensure no shortcuts or hiding of any information or manipulating the information.
• Perform all the washing or cleaning function as per requirements, ensuring the machines are clean and ready to begin operations.
• This is Zone 4, High Risk Zone related to food safety, so maintain proper hygiene conditions and to ensure control the contamination hazard to the product or inside the packing equipment, or the processing area.
• To ensure the equipment is clean and surrounding area near the section is also kept clean at all times.
• Warning signals and alarms to be discussed with the immediate supervisor and corrective action to be taken.
• Regulate or turn off machines in emergency situations and immediately report to the immediate supervisor.
• Report his manager with all the issues faced in his shift.
• Should maintain the documentations like production log book/maintenance log book/ quality related issues in his shift.
• Follow the Health and Safety policies laid down by the company at all times to prevent injury and ensure the finished product meets regulations for distribution.
• Follow the Food Safety regulation and policies of the company.
• Reporting to the DCS Engineer/Shift Officer.
