Job summary

Otis Apprenticeship Program invites you to train with a global leader in elevator technology. You will shadow an Elevator Mechanic, learn the fundamentals of elevator systems, and engage with digital diagnostics to support modern building infrastructure.

Through hands-on mentorship and formal coursework, you will grow in safety, quality, and technical competence while pursuing official qualifications. Location: Prestige Turf Tower, Mumbai.

Qualifications

Role Overview

As an Apprentice, you will work alongside a qualified Elevator Mechanic to master the trade. This role is designed for individuals who want to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and high-stakes mechanical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Training: Familiarize yourself with the basic workings of elevators through site visits and formal guided learning.
• Systems Integration: Learn how electronic and mechanical systems work together, connecting components to form complex vertical transport systems.
• Digital Innovation: Utilize digital tools, specifically IoT applications, to monitor and diagnose equipment functions.
• Preventive Maintenance: Assist in carrying out regular maintenance visits on contracted equipment and conducting rigorous safety device checks.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to Otis’s world-class safety standards, ensuring every task is completed with zero compromise on quality or safety.
• Construction & Installation Experience: Gain hands-on experience in the Construction Department, supporting elevator installation, testing, commissioning, electrical wiring, equipment assembly, system calibration, and final setup activities under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Candidate Profile

• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Digital Literacy: Comfortable using electronic devices and digital diagnostic tools.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, optimistic, and a strong team player.
• Mindset: A deep interest in pursuing a career as an Elevator Mechanic/Installer and a willingness to study for official qualifications.
