Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking an Applied Solutions Architect to bridge customer challenges with Google's engineering capabilities. You will lead technical workshops, architect scalable AI-enabled cloud systems, and deliver PoVs integrated into customers' existing environments.

Expect close collaboration with GTM teams and product management to drive enterprise adoption. You will guide customers through architecture design, from scoping to deployment, ensuring security, scalability, and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms.
• Experience building full-stack solutions that interface with enterprise systems.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and their current technology landscape.
• Move seamlessly from high-level architecture to low-level implementation; code, build, and deploy robust cloud systems.
• Architect and engineer enterprise-grade AI solutions such as agentic workflows, RAG systems, and applied foundation models with scalable cloud-native infrastructure.
• Engineer PoV products that integrate into customer as-is systems and ensure production readiness.

• Experience managing the technical pre-sales cycle, from initial scoping and architecture design to the successful delivery of integrated PoVs.
• Experience with cloud-native application development.
• Experience designing and building AI applications.

As an Applied Solutions Architect within the Google Cloud Go-To-Market (GTM) team, you will act as the technical bridge between our customers' business challenges and Google's engineering capabilities. You will not be building in a vacuum. Your core objective is to engineer the Proof of Value (PoV) products designed to integrate seamlessly into a customer's existing, "as-is" systems. By keeping the final production end-state in mind from day one, you will advocate for our AI and cloud-native solutions to not only look great on a whiteboard but function flawlessly in their actual enterprise environment.

• Move seamlessly from high-level architecture to low-level implementation. Code, build, and deploy robust cloud systems, ensuring technical designs translate into functional, integrated realities.
• Architect and engineer enterprise-grade AI solutions - such as agentic workflows, RAG systems, and applied foundation models - backed by highly scalable, cloud-native infrastructure including event-driven microservices, containerized workloads, and serverless compute.
• Engineer functional PoV products that integrate into the customer's as-is systems to demonstrate true business value. Ensure all builds adhere strictly to engineering best practices, security standards, and scalability guidelines to ensure a smooth transition to production.
