Job summary

Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based solutions in an enterprise environment. The role requires 7–12 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL, ODI, ADF, and EBS-related modules.

You will work across production support and new enhancements in a global Agile setup, including night shifts if needed. You’ll contribute to middleware and data integration efforts, with strong emphasis on ODI mappings, data

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of experience in Oracle tech stack and Oracle EBS environments.
• Hands-on development experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Forms 6i, Reports 6i and related tools.
• Strong ODI experience including ODI Master and work repositories, mappings, and load plans.
• Experience with Unix scripting and shell environments.
• Experience building and debugging custom ADF applications for enterprise apps.
• Knowledge of data modelling, error handling, and automation in ODI workflows.
• Ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions and adhere to SDLC processes.
• Ability to work in global Agile teams with cross-cultural collaboration.
• Willingness to work night shifts when required and under pressure.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in production support and incident resolution with SLA adherence.

Job Description

Job Title: Oracle Technical Application Engineer

Skill Set: Oracle PL/SQL, ODI, ADF

Experience: 7-12 yrs

What you'll be doing

• Designs and develops software solutions to meet business requirements. Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing. Performs product design, bug verification, and beta support, which may require research and analysis. Operates under moderate supervision. Usually reports to the Manager of Software Development.
• Execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. Analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. Participate in software upgrades, revisions, fixes and patches as mandated by the vendor.

• Hands on development experience on the various technologies and modules related to Oracle EBS Technologies - Oracle SQL, PLSQL , Forms 6i, Reports 6i , XML Publisher, Personalization, Migrations, Custom PLL
• Strong working knowledge on Oracle Data Integrator [ODI]
• Strong knowledge on Unix scripting
• knowledge of ODI Master and work repository
• Knowledge of data modelling, ODI mappings, error handling, automation using ODI, Load plans, Migration of Objects
• Experience in developing Custom ADF applications
• Experience working in production support projects and associated tasks like monitoring of the individual queues, ticket updates as per SLA, working with stake holders to take the tickets forward and provide effective resolution.
• Works under pressure and is able to manage competing priorities
• Good in trouble shooting/analytical skills to debug issues like Concurrent Program failures
• Performance issues
• Long running programs and cause for the same etc
• Has experience working on standard APIs. Should have the ability to debug any standard APIs issues and resolve them
• Using standard methodologies, analyze functional documents to develop technical design specifications
• Ability to develop good technical designs with all the required considerations - scalability, performance, architecture
• Deliver solutions meeting highest quality standards. Follow the quality and SDLC processes and suggest improvements in the same
• Applies the identified job knowledge requirements for the role to make disciplined decisions in a timely fashion.
• Oracle Applications Architecture-level experience
• Candidate should possess good communication skills
• Self-driven, Bottom line oriented and take ownership of tasks assigned
• Effective working relationships with all functional units of the organization,
• Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple locations when necessary,
• Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
