Vanguard is seeking an expert-level IT technical lead at our Hyderabad, India location. You will provide senior-level guidance on architecture, integration, and performance optimization for enterprise-scale applications.

You will champion cloud-native design, DevOps practices, and secure development while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver critical business solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in software architecture and technical leadership for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular/React and scalable APIs.
• Proficient in AWS cloud technologies and infrastructure as code practices.

Role Summary

This role provides expert-level IT technical lead services, including the integration and implementation of technologies, while applying deep backend expertise to optimize performance, ensure secure architecture, and enhance system scalability.

Core Responsibilities

• Provides expert-level technical leadership for critical software, middleware, or hardware projects across multiple platforms, ensuring successful architecture, development, and implementation.
• Evaluates and approves development options and technical deliverables.
• Oversees comprehensive testing for functionality, performance, and security.
• Approves technical solutions proposed by team members, resolves complex technical problems, and anticipates issues to enable preventive action.
• Acts as a key technical liaison with stakeholders, effectively communicating technical implications, project risks, and solution strategies.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and containerized or serverless application patterns.
• Drive DevOps best practices through the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment processes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Champion modern engineering practices, including Git-based distributed version control, code reviews, secure development methodologies, and software quality standards.
• Act as a key technical advisor and stakeholder liaison, effectively communicating architectural decisions, technical strategies, project risks, and solution trade-offs.
• Review, author, and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, API specifications, and design standards to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise IT, regulatory, and Information Security requirements by embedding security, resiliency, and governance principles into all solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers on architecture, design patterns, coding standards, cloud technologies, and software delivery best practices while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions, continuously improve technical standards, and drive technology modernization initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA), or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA).
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, and technical leadership for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular/React, and designing scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies, including ECS, Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, along with containerized/serverless architectures and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, Git, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, Secure SDLC, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of observability, production support, incident management, performance optimization, and message-driven/asynchronous integration patterns.
• Proven ability to lead Agile teams, mentor engineers, manage technical delivery, and collaborate effectively with Product, UX, and business stakeholders; AWS certifications preferred.
