Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Applications Support professional in Pune to support CitiFTP platform enhancements, production incidents, and regional rollouts. The role combines production support, environment management, and release activities across multiple teams.

The candidate will work with Development, Infrastructure, Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure platform stability and successful implementation of new functionality. Strong communication and SDLC understanding are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application support for production incidents and service requests.

Job description

Citi Funds Transfer Pricing (CitiFTP) is undergoing significant transformation led by Treasury as part of consent order commitments and Operating Model AI projects. The platform has expanded beyond Interest Rate Transfer Pricing to include Financing Benchmark Rates Distribution and Standard Pool, with further expansion planned into Liquidity Premium Components, Client FTP, Markets, and integration of new applications such as BCTP and IRIS.

The Application Support & Rollout Officer will be responsible for supporting and deploying enhancements across the CitiFTP platform. The role combines production support, environment management, release implementation, onboarding of new business/country rollouts, and coordination across Development, Infrastructure, Operations, and Business stakeholders. The successful candidate will help ensure platform stability while driving successful implementation of new functionality and regional rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

• Provide L2/L3 application support for production incidents and service requests.
• Monitor application health, investigate issues, and coordinate resolution across support teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive remediation actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Support critical production activities, including weekend implementations and release validation when required.
• Ensure adherence to SLA and operational support procedures.

Rollout & Implementation

• Support onboarding of new countries, businesses, and functional capabilities onto the platform.
• Coordinate implementation activities across Development, Infrastructure, DBA, Operations, and Business teams.
• Participate in rollout planning, readiness reviews, and post-implementation support.
• Validate application, data, and infrastructure readiness prior to production deployment.
• Track implementation risks, dependencies, and remediation activities.

Release & Change Management

• Support application releases across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Execute deployment and validation activities during scheduled releases.
• Coordinate change requests and ensure compliance with technology governance standards.
• Assist with release documentation, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.

Monitoring & Operational Excellence

• Monitor platform performance, batch processing, and data quality controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Support implementation of proactive alerting and operational dashboards.
• Drive reduction of manual support activities through automation and process improvements.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business users, operations teams, and technology partners to resolve issues and support new initiatives.
• Provide clear communication on incidents, outages, release activities, and rollout status.
• Participate in governance forums and operational reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in application support, production support, implementation, or technology operations.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and change management processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial services or banking applications.
• Experience supporting distributed applications and batch processing platforms.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with application monitoring and incident management tools.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, automation, DevOps, or CI/CD practices.
• Experience supporting global platforms with multi-region rollouts.
