Job summary

SGS India is seeking an Application Solution Engineer to design end-to-end processes for corporate IT applications. You will act as a techno-functional expert, guiding business requirements mappings and ensuring standardized fit-for-purpose solutions in SGS surroundings.

You will oversee development activities, verify quality and security guidelines, and work with enterprise architecture to align technical designs with SGS standards. Strong Oracle eBusiness Suite experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT/CS required.
• At least 5+ years with Oracle eBusiness Suite development tools.
• Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud rollout, integrations and extensions.

Job description

The Application Solution Engineer is responsible for end-to-end process design alignment within SGS for our Corp IT applications. Serving as the top-level techno-functional expert by helping the business on high-level specifications creation and anticipating problems of systems functionality, providing guidance and advisory regarding business requirements mappings.

The ASE plays a key role in ensuring standardized fit for purpose solutions within SGS for our Corp IT applications. Overseeing that the software development activities are carried out in accordance with SGS and best practice market standards. Executes the review of the application development activities and ensures that the related deliverables follow the appropriate quality, architecture and security rules and guidelines, overseeing the overall quality and fitness of the final products.

The ASE is responsible for providing effort estimates, validating 3rd party estimates and overseeing the activities of the development estimation process, validating the required workload for the different phases of developments.

With your technical expertise and following market best practices, you will ensure that the technical designs of software developments are up to market & SGS standards, whether done internally or by a third party, working closely with the enterprise architecture department at SGS.

• Proactively collaborates with implementation teams in coordination with other architects on the setup of processes to fulfil the agreed requirements.
• Know in detail the reference standards & best practices defined by Enterprise Architecture and Security SGS departments, to ensure technical design quality and vulnerability compliance.
• Validate and enrich technical impact assessments.
• Ensure Technical coordination for deployment activities.
• Develop and/or validate technical design for all application development activities.
• Ensures developments meet both the technical requirements as well as the operations requirements (such as security, availability, maintainability, and performance), for custom developed applications as well as standard package-based solutions and legacy applications Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree and/or master s with relevant IT or Computer science background.
• Relevant experience managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle.
• Must have 5+ years of extensive knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite (on-prem) development tools and technical stack are a must (Oracle PL/SQL, APEX, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Applications Framework, Web ADI, Open Interfaces, Oracle XML Gateway, Integrated SOA Gateway and Oracle Workflow).
• Experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite Financials modules and Supply Chain & Manufacturing is a plus
• Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud rollout, integrations and extensions is certainly an added value
