Job summary

Acesoft Labs is seeking an Application Manager (Oracle Database) for a contract role in Bangalore. You will lead database migration projects, design cloud-ready architectures, and ensure smooth transitions from on-prem to Azure Cloud.

The ideal candidate has 6–9 years of hands-on Oracle DB experience (19c/18c/12c), RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, and strong Unix scripting. You will collaborate with Cloud Infra to deploy scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have Azure Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• End to end database migration from on-prem to cloud including VNet design, routing rules, security groups, instance creation, and deployment.
• Oracle DB Architecture experience in Oracle 19c, 18c & 12c.
• Experience/Exposure in Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, Data Guard and RAC.
• Oracle DBA should have experience on 19c, 18c & 12c upgrade, production support, cross platform migration.
• Experience in Oracle Database upgrade from 11g to 19c, 18c & 12c on various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Database Administration, solution design, database migration and manageability for mission critical enterprise applications in data centre and cloud deployments.
• Database migration and upgrades using Datapump, RMAN backup/restore, Data Guard and auto upgrades.
• Experience in Oracle Database migrations to cloud (preferably Azure).
• Willing to troubleshoot issues related to Oracle database migration to Azure Cloud.
• Work experience in Unix Shell scripting & automation.
• Experience in capacity planning, designing, and implementing enterprise solutions using Oracle Database Technology.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Analyses problems, identifies solutions, and makes decisions.
• Flexible to work independently or with Cloud Infrastructure teams to implement efficient cloud-based solutions.
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
