Role Summary

This role provides expert-level IT technical lead services, including the integration and implementation of technologies, while applying deep backend expertise to optimize performance, ensure secure architecture, and enhance system scalability.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert-level technical leadership for critical software, middleware, or hardware projects across multiple platforms, ensuring successful architecture, development, and implementation.
• Evaluates and approves development options and technical deliverables. Oversees comprehensive testing for functionality, performance, and security.
• Approves technical solutions proposed by team members, resolves complex technical problems, and anticipates issues to enable preventive action.
• Acts as a key technical liaison with stakeholders, effectively communicating technical implications, project risks, and solution strategies.
• Maintains expertise in IT methodologies, architecture design, and enterprise standards; mentors staff and ensures team adoption of evolving standards.
• Reviews, authors, and approves technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Drives continuous improvement in technical standards, methodologies, and the adoption of emerging technologies.
• Participates in product life cycle reviews (design, code, test), and serves as a technical advisor across project meetings.
• Ensures compliance with IT and Information Security policies, validating that deliverables meet internal and external requirements.
• Leads or contributes to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
• Applies deep server‑side development skills, focusing on performance optimization, secure architecture, and database efficiency.
• Troubleshoots complex system performance issues and recommends improvements to optimize data flow across services and APIs.
• Ensures scalable and resilient backend functionality, with proactive measures for increased system demands.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (B.E./B.Tech, BCA, or MCA).
• Expert level programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, Python.
• Expert level understanding of AWS Services (DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Route 53, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, CloudFormation, API Security/IAM, Bedrock), GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD.
• Expert level understanding of API security - OAUTH, OKTA, JWTS, etc.
• Expertise in software architecture, event‑driven architectures, system design, and technical leadership for enterprise applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
• Well versed in observability concepts and tools (Splunk, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Experience with TDD/BDD.
• Test automation skills (Cucumber).
• Ability to leverage AI‑assisted engineering tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to improve the software development process and mentor others.
• Experience in mentoring teams, establishing technical standards, and driving continuous process improvement.
• Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder management to influence technical decisions.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile, Confluence, JIRA, and monitoring dashboards.
• Desired certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Consultant, AWS Cloud Practitioner.
